  Dr. Debra Ravasia, MD, FACOG, Board Certified
Dr. Ravasia is founder and medical director of Ajuva Medical Spa. She is an obstetrician/gynecologist who has had nineteen years of experience in women's health. Dr. Ravasia started Women's Health Connection, PS, a comprehensive traditional gynecology clinic here in Spokane in 2005, and extended her practice to include Ajuva Medical Spa, a wellness clinic that includes medical aesthetics, weight loss, nutrition and hormone optimization, in 2006.
Dr. Ravasia completed medical school in Saskatchewan, Canada, and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Foothills Hospital, University of Calgary in 2000. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in both the USA and Canada. This means she has completed examinations necessary to provide a high standard of care within her field. She worked in North Dakota as a busy general OB/Gyn before moving to Spokane with her husband and four children to be closer to family, mountains, and a great school for her children.
Dr. Ravasia has received additional comprehensive training and certifications in medical aesthetics, weight loss and menopausal management. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is also a certified member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and or the National American Menopause Society. She is passionate about delivering comprehensive and integrated health and wellness care to women here in Spokane, WA.
 Dr. W. John Bullis, MD, FACOG, Board Certified
Dr. Bullis joins Women's Health Connection and Ajuva from a traditional Ob-Gyn practice in Pinehurst, NC. A native of Washington, D.C., he attended both undergraduate and medical school at Georgetown University. After graduating medical school, he trained at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, WA in general Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1991 until 1995. As a U.S. Army physician, he served at Fort Belvoir, Virginia for three years, two as Chief of the Ob-Gyn Service, and was part of the teaching faculty of the Family Practice residency program there. He finished his Army career at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, D.C., where he was able to focus on urogynecology and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He was also a part of the teaching faculty for Walter Reed's Ob-Gyn residency program.
After leaving the Army in 1999, he has been practicing in Pinehurst, NC. Here, he continued to focus on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and urogynecology and performed the first Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy in that region. He has been an active member of the American Urogynecological Society (AUGS) and was among the first physicians to perform minimally invasive, outpatient incontinence surgery. Over the past 5-6 years, Dr. Bullis developed an interest in medical aesthetics and particularly in the cosmetic treatments his patients were asking about: Botox, Liposuction, tummy tucks, laser hair removal, etc. He attended many seminars and met with sales representatives and physicians of all specialties (Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmolgy, Gynecology, Otolaryngology, even Maxillofacial Surgery). He decided to pursue and become accomplished at the VASER Liposelection procedure, because of its impressive safety record and dramatic results. He is also an experienced injector of Botox Cosmetic and continues to keep up to date on the latest aesthetic procedures. His interest and enthusiasm in these cosmetic procedures led him to Ajuva Medical Spa, Women's Health Connection and Dr. Debra Ravasia.
 Julie Haddad, RN - Medical Aesthetics
Julie Haddad is a fairly new transplant to the Spokane area, coming to us from Salt Lake City, Utah, where she was born and raised. She received her RN Nursing Degree in 2006. She was originally pursuing a double Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Utah, and then transferred to Nursing School at the Utah College of Health Sciences. Her focus was primarily on aesthetics training; although she worked as a floor nurse for almost a year at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Before her desire to become an aesthetics nurse, Julie was primarily involved with Accounting, Business, and Human Resources for 12 years.
She has been formally trained in the use of cosmetic lasers, dermal fillers, Botox administration, Lipodissolve, and Cool Lipo. She is an excellent resource regarding Product and Service knowledge. She truly is an asset to her profession in every aspect and brings her skills and abilities to Ajuva to enhance our Medical Spa program.
 Amy Bruscoe - Licensed Medical Aesthetician / Make-up Artist
Amy Bruscoe is a professional medical aesthetician. She has worked in the aesthetics field gathering a variety of health and beauty experiences. By combining her knowledge from working in a world class spa, an acne clinic, and makeup for television and film, Amy will help you with your skin care needs. Feeling and looking beautiful provides a pathway to good health. Whether you need to relax and have a facial or you want to update your makeup bag, she looks forward to helping you put your best face forward!
Amy enjoys spending time with her family, rock climbing, hiking and knitting.
She has her B.A. in applied Psychology from Eastern Washington University, her Esthetician License from Spokane Falls Community College, and her Professional Make-Up Artist Certification from the Make-up Designory (MUD) at the Los Angeles School of Make-Up.
 Katie Hoglund - Licensed Medical Aesthetician
Katie Hoglund is a professional medical aesthetician. She has been working with Ajuva since opening in 2006. She graduated from Glen Dow Academy in Spokane, Washington, with a Medical Aesthetics license. Katie is also in the process of completing a nursing degree with plans to eventually work as an Aesthetic RN. Taking great pride in her work, Katie specializes in a variety of relaxing and rejuvenating facials and is also trained and certified in laser hair removal. Her experience and education allow her to provide you with not only great services but also helpful tips! She looks forward to helping you look and feel better about the skin your in!
Katie enjoys keeping up on the latest beauty and fashion trends as well as upcoming products and procedures. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, being outdoors, and spending time at the lake.
 Kristine Schmedding, RD, B.S. ExMet
A registered dietitian who earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Metabolism through W.S.U.
She has been with Ajuva Medical Weight Loss since the program started in July 2008. Prior to that she worked in Cardiac Rehab and spent a year of rotations in various healthcare settings including Surgical Bariatrics and working with low calorie programs.
She loves living in Spokane spending time with her husband, family and going to Priest Lake.
